2002 f250 rust wheel well lip on bed

Anyone know if there is a place that sells a fix?? patch panel or something??

Seems like it rusts from the inside out same as the older ones. Why does this happens i don't see how water could get in. Any way to prevent this??

Junk will sit in the wheel lip and rust through, unless it is cleaned well. There is also the wheel well liner that can wear through the paint and cause this. LMC truck makes patch panels, but the best way is to get factory parts, as aftermarket I have found to be poorly made. Of course, that would entail a whole new bedside which may not be practical cost wise.

There is foam sprayed in there that traps moisture. The newer beds don't have it. Same problem on my truck before it got hit and I got a new bed.
