Los Angeles Auto Parts

hello there. Anybody here who's aware of an auto parts store in LA? On-line stores that deals specifically on LA clients are much preferred. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I'm a bit N of LA, but Boquet Auto Parts is a locally owned and operated shop with excellent help up in the Valencia area. For mail order stuff I just call Clay at Riffraff.

Would be easier to help if we knew what you were looking for though. :-)

It's my friend who really needs it. Anyway, a colleague suggested this site. Los Angeles Auto Parts. Have you tried dealing with those guys already? Thanks for the above replies.

Why don't you tell us what your friend is looking for? It would be a lot easier to help if you did

could be a handy excuse to plug the site with the local crowd... why else so vague? (Not that we mind hearing about more places to get parts - but I prefer it not be 'for a friend'.) :-)

Edit: The irony being that I'm notorious for referring any business that gives me a good deal or has excellent customer service.

IMO, the best autoparts stores in LA LA Land for older vehicles are:

ENGLER BROS. AUTO PARTS on Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica: 310-450-7531.

1920's/50's Ford obsolete parts: EARLY FORD STORE in San Dimas (earlyfordstore.com).

I've never heard of Los Angeles Auto Parts. Since I've spent 35 + years locally in the parts biz, and know most of the well known parts stores, it must be a store that opened for business after 1997.

If the parts needed are for an older Ford, and the dealer sez: obsolete, I may be able to find them, as that's mainly what I do here on FTE.

The guys over at Tops Auto Supply have been great on past occasions with parts for some old hotrods and even everyday stuff.

There was a hyperlink in ema's post yesterday that went to a site which sells body parts for cars.

I suspect this was merely an attempt to drum up business for that site.

That's prolly correctamundo, as she's also drumming up business in two other threads for two other products.
