Does anyone else get the transmission readings off of the tranny CAN? I am not getting all the sensors that their web site shows for a 2006 6.0L Powerstroke and none of the transmission ones.
Also would like to compare some readings with someone else to help troubleshoot. Anyone?
Just got the AE setup. Never really looked at the tranny readings yet. What other readings do you want to compare? A group of 4 of us went in on the package here, so we have 2- 05's 1- 04 and 1- 03 to compare with. My 03 is running the worst right now I believe. I have a couple injectors not playing nicely. One 05 has a brand new HPOP and the 04 just got a ton of work done at the dealer.
Cool. Thanks for the reply. I would like to know what others are seeing for MAF lbs./min., MAF voltage reading at idle and some higher RPM.
BTW I called AE and i was told that you select the transmission PIDS when you performing the "Connection". I have not looked at it yet but there are supposed to be other CAN systems that are accessed at that time and transmission PIDS is one of those. He said they did it this way becaise there are hundreds of readings that it can pull up and it would clutter up things if you could access all of them at once. I'm sure it would slow down the update rate too.
Let me know if you see any "Misfires" reported. I don't see any reported on mine but it sure acts like it is misfiring. I sure would like to see AE get the permission from FORD to do cylinder contribution on the CAN communication trucks.

Sorry it took me so long to get to this, I was out looking at land all day.
When you do a connection, do you notice where it would say "Enhanced Powertrain"? That drop down box is where you want to make the selection for the individual module that you wish to access. You can get codes from all the modules at one time, but you can only get sensors(and depending on the module) and do some programming of certain components from within that same module one at a time.
I haven't looked at the tranny module yet beyond codes, I usually stick within the ABS and/or the Enhanced Powertrain module myself.
My MAF reads 12.4 psi at idle and increases relative to boost. I do not know the voltage readings it sends. I may be runing the AE on another 6.0 today at work and will check for you. I will check for misfires then too. Does the AE accurately check these in a diesel?
I know this weekend I have to to a timing and balance shaft belt change in my car.......... no time to play with the diesel.
desertt5, this sounds like the MAP, not the MAF is it was in fact displaying psi. There should be readings that I would guess should be about half of full scale or about the 12-13 that you indicated but should be in lbs./min. flow rate. Were you looking at the MAF reading and wrote psi by mistake?
Tex25025, Yep, I found it. and looked at some faulted readings reported in my tranny. That will have to wait.
I'm getting nothing on my readings for this. I am however getting voltages that are close to what the service manual indicates they should be when at idle and fast idle.I still have to pull into the garage (13 deg F outside) and test the PCM input for the MAF by applying the Vref to the MAF input pin.
