I did mine as both a smoker and a non-smoker, since I still have a cigar once in awhile, but I gave up cigarettes a few years ago.
As normal (whatever that means): I live until 18 Aug 2042, but I'll be gone nine years earlier if I take up cigarettes again.
As a pessimist: send flowers on 29 May 2020. Send them on 19 Feb 2017 if ya see me lighting up.
Sadisticly: I should be starting to smell pretty ripe, since I've been dead since 17 Aug 2000. Smoking only cost me 14 months, though.
As a non-smoking optimist, though, I'll be around until I'm a wise old man, on 13 Oct 2055. Adding tobacco to the equation costs me 2 and a half years.
This reminds me of the line from a Leon Russel song: "How many days, has it been since I was born?; How many days till I die?" Started listening to this song around 1970 when I was 20, and I'd figure up the days both ways and be happy with all the days I had left. Now, not so much.
