4-Speed Trans
Hi all. I own a 77 F150 4X4 with the 4 speed manual trans behind a 351M. I am having trouble with the third gear slipping out of gear on deceleration. My question is: Can this be adjusted in the trans ( adjustable stops ) or am I going to have to rely on a tranny shop for assistance ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem in a 64 Falcon with a 4 speed. It would not stay in 2nd when slowing down either. I hate to say it but I had to take it to the tranny shop.
Not good news but maybe it will help you make a decision.
