I forgot to mention that earlier today I got a call from Ford really trying to get me to sell my truck to them and see about a trade in. I was actually surprised just how much she knew about all that I had done to the truck. I mean I figured the dealership probably made notations as to say: "No warranty for him". However, she said that according to what was written up at the dealership that my truck was in good shape and that it had this, this and this mod. Now, I have gotten calls from a sales person that I've dealt with every couple of years to see about a trade-in, but not from the company and certainly not someone that was well versed in everything I had done.
I know they need to drum up sales, but that impeccable record keeping is a little unnerving.
You can only get so much from just reading the forum. Only a handful know specifics(by specifics, I mean more then what's in the siggy) and to my knowledge it hasn't been broadcasted.
I always fear them seeing this .. so I don't fill my sig out much anymore .. I went in for a reflash and soon after received a letter that was presented like a buy back from ford ,,, but it was the dealers scam letter to sell me a new vehicle
but it was the dealers scam letter to sell me a new vehicle
That's what I thought about it at first, it was just them trying to drum up business, but it was just all the stuff that she was rattling off that she knew and it was significantly more then what was listed on my siggy.
I don't even have all my mods listed on there as it is(that includes performance related ones as well).
funny thing is I got a call from my dealer about my truck when I bought it from them. I asked why they didnt just walk out to my stall and ask me.
I get service reminders from them.
I even got a phone call asking why my truck had not been in latly for service. I told them it was there. they searched the computer for 20 min looking for the ro. when them came back to the phone I asked if they looked in the employee lot.
a couple years back i had the hfcm replaced under warranty but the SOB's charged me full labor to change the fuel filters. so ford warranty time doesn't include installing a filter. 2 FF installed P+L 240.00 they keep sending me postcards too, they don't understand why i will never again darken the doors of Universal Ford in Calgary AB
