water pump gasket HELP!!!
alright guys, ive got what i beleive is a 1977 ford 400 motor. its out of the truck. im putting a new water pump gasket on it and i decided id do both of them--pump to plate and plate to block. except i cant find the plate to block! the gasket i need looks kind of like a U shape, its open on the bottom side where the oil pan gasket doubles as a gasket on the bottom of the pump plate. i can only find a gasket that looks very similar to the pump to plate gasket. ne help would be great

The plate to block gasket looks similar to the water pump mounting gasket.In addition you will need a timing cover gasket(u shape)and a new crankshaft seal.Would also be wise to install a new oil pan front seal as well.Found this part number on a CSK site for a complete timing cover gasket set.Fel-Pro#TCS45061.

wow thats cool they sell that together. im putting a new oil pan on it so ill be putting the new oil pan gasket on too-to cover that front seal. as for the other gaskets, im glad i found where to get it. THANKS A LOT
