Perfectly normal. All 6.0's have that built into the logic of the PCM. It will vary the rpm's based on temp and altitude.
It's not exactly the same as the high idle mod, in that you don't have any control over it. About 1,100 rpm is as high as it will go. If the engine is already warm, it won't do it at all.
