Waist Gates
I will soon be acquiring a Banks Sidewinder turbo for my truck but it is the older version without a waist gate. A buddy of mine said that he thought you could buy waist gates to retrofit. Do any of you guys know how I could convert this to a waist gate controlled turbo?

Internal waste gates are part of the casting process.
You could install an external version or a blow off valve.
Most non wastegated turbos are not going to make enough boost to be a problem.

TJC that is great news. I'll stop worring about it not being waste gated. I should have mine by the end of next week. I have a feeling it will be quite a while before I get it installed though.
