You need to see what they mean by it. I am guessing the Plenum Intake Manifolds on the heads but I don't know what they mean on the intercooler unless its the boots.
What are the Plenum Intake Manifolds on the heads?? I took it to a shop the other day and they told me they feel like it is leaking around the boots, based on what I told them that the stealership told me.

Best way to check and know for sure is to build a boost leak detector and pressurize everything. Izzy has a good picture of it and you can build it for real cheap. This way you know exactly what you need.
Seems dealers are the same everywhere.. just looking to rip people off. I recently had a charging issue with my truck. When I bought the truck just under 2 years ago, they had to put an alternator on my truck because it wasn't charging. I asked about the condition of the batteries because I was gonna push for new ones in the deal & they told me they had just replaced them for the previous owner. I took it back to the dealership for my issue for 2 reasons.. 1.. the put the alternator on less than 2 years ago & 2. I bought the extended warranty.
The service rep came out & told me I had a bad battery & they had to replace it before they could do any further diagnosing. $146 & $33 to install it. I immediately threw out the "new battery" story I got when I purchased the truck & upon further investigating, the battery "they" previously installed was covered by warranty. After this, they moved on to the alternator & found it to be bad. They put a NAPA on when I bought it & had to get a new one ordered from them as it was under warranty.
I went back 3 days later to get the new alternator installed. When they were done, the guy asked me for my warranty paperwork, he had to call them & he told me I had to pay a $100 deductible. I advised I did not have a deductible & he told me he believed I did. He then spoke to the warranty company & told them .8 hours for diagnostics & 1.3 hours to change the alternator & he also gave them the alternator info. After he hung up, he told me I was right, I had no deductible & I left without paying anything.. which made me happy. But later on I started to think about it.. They tried to get me for a $100 deductible I didn't have. They tried charging me a ridiculous amount for a battery that was covered under warranty for free replacement. They got a "free" warranty replacement alternator from napa PLUS charged the warranty company for an alternator, diagnostics & installation !! Seems dealers everywhere are nothing but crooks !!!
