Whats up guys! Just got my fuel rail crossover from Riffraff, Does anyone have pics of where exactly this hooks in at, or maybe just explain where it goes exactly? I could probly figure it out but thought I would ask first if some of you have installed one. The fuel system is about the only part of this truck I have'nt torn into yet. Thanks for any help
Looks like a quality product by the way, and shipping was quick.
I think its like the Dino Fuel Alternatives "CCK" or Cackle Cure Kit. It should tie passenger side front fuel rail, to the drivers side rear fuel rail. Then come together, and tie into the factory return line. I did the CCK back when they came out on my 2002 back before I think Clay was around here But have since gotten other goodies from him. IIRC you have to unbolt the AC compressor, and bracket on the passenger side. Its a little tight. On the drivers side, Take the CAC tube and intake boot out. Not too bad a job. On the DFA kit you had to cut the return line, which required removing the alternator, and bracket IIRC. Its been a while.
I didn't have to unbolt the AC.. it's just tight.. get a 9/32 wrench or a 9/32 Pipe plug socket (4pt) and it will come out. It's a pretty straight forward install. I can map out each step if you like
Adam, I did Clay's FRx kit about a month ago, quieted up the motor, runs smoother and just feels better. Spdmpo Keith did a great writeup on this kit so thank him for this writeup.. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...installed.html
Awesome guys! Thanks for the info, and thanks Clay for calling me! The writeup will definatly help alot, so thanks Kieth. Ill get this slapped in sometime this week.
Cool beans, just spray down those fuel plugs real good in advance, the pass. side front gave me a rough time..Also, call Clay and get a fuel sleave for the line where the fuel regulator is, mine was shot, it sealed but getting one for good measure. Here it is http://www.riffraffdiesel.com/mm5/me...Code=F731-O-FS
Well guys I got this line installed today, wasnt too bad, took me a couple hours, kinda tight getting to those plugs but I was still able to get them out with a set of vice grips since I had no wrench to fit them. Everything lined up good and all that.
Drove about 50 or so miles since the install, seems to run a little smoother so far, kinda seems like it quieted down my noisy #8 injector.
Shoot, I forgot Platnium Pete sent me two custom wrenches he made up just for those fuel plugs, darn, could have shipped them to yaa. Anyways, not a bad job and it definetly quieted up my no#8, thats for sure, congrats..

Oh thats alright, some needle nose vice grips worked out pretty good. I noticed that fuel sleeve was kinda rough looking but so far it isnt leaking. Anyone doing this job would probly want to order one just to be safe.
