I am not sure what the price of a new cord is, because warranty covered it. I like the idea of the dialectic grease, that would help with all the mag chloride that they are putting on the roads. I really like the plug receptacle idea. Where did you locate those?
A marine supply sounds like a good place to start looking for this item. I will do some searching and see if I can find any place local that sells this item. Thank ya'll for all of the information and possible corrective actions that we can take to prevent these problems in the future.

I ran over my extension cord with my snow blower, LOL... You should have seen that snow jumping while it was getting yanked around the tines and blowing the circuit breaker in the garage. It loosened the heater plug from the cord on my block heater a bit, but it still works. Just kinda flimsy.
It bugs me so I went down and bought a Marinco Plug. I found one at Bass Pro Shop, on line, but when calling their contact number they said they had no record of a Marinco Plug. Maybe I got a bone head for an operator. Anyway, I ended up finding an RV store this morning that could order one for me. It will be in the shop next Friday. The cost for a 15 amp Marinco Plug was 28 bucks. I probably could have found one cheaper somewhere else but got tired of looking so I ordered it this morning.
