How long does a cat last?
Wondering how long a catalytic converter lasts? In my 2000 Expy, it's got about 155,000 miles on it in those ten years.
I'm considering an exhaust upgrade, and I could either replace or remove the cat if it was likely to be worn out.
Is there any way to tell if your cat is clogged or worn out?

The cat will last 25 years or 2 million miles, whichever happens first. The cat does not wear out, plug up, or otherwise fail by itself. The cat only fails when a fuel management component fails first. Replace your O2 sensors every 80,000 miles, do regular tune ups with factory parts, and you will never have a problem. If you cat was failing, you will get a P0420 code.
Cat - good or bad, delete or not
You dont benefit from removing your cat on newer vehicles with computers, it will just make the exhaust louder. Though in certain areas, this could land you a hefty ticket or worse for tampering with emissions.
If your engine is burning/blowing oil, raw gas, coolant, then you MIGHT
need to REPLACE it......After you fix the problem(s).
Otherwise, if you there are no malfunctions in your vehicle, then leave
it alone or REPLACE it with a high flow, low restriction cat.
You are looking in the wrong place to do modifications.
Change out your exhaust system & muffler, headers, intake, etc, etc.
