distributor

I think I have the wrong distributor for my 351w. actually I have two old distributors and both have 1/4" holes for the oil pump shaft but the oil pump shaft is about a 5/16" as is the oil pump
How do you identify the 351w distributor .I know it is taller than other sb ford w's but I do not how much taller. Does it have a 5/16 hole in the bottom of the shaft?

Yes the 5.8 distributor has a larger hole for the oilpump shaft, the body where it goes into the block is also larger, but otherwise it will look pretty much the same.
