Transmission removal
I removed a tranny on a 1969 dodge brougham motor home and it was not that difficult now my aod is going in my 1989 ford f150 and need to get it replaced i was wondering how and if you need to remove the engine to just so you can get the top bolts or is there a easy way.And do you have to get anything done to the drive shaft if you put a new tranny in.

Definitely shouldn't have to remove the engine. I'm betting if you lay under the truck and get good light by the top bolts, you'll find the bolts are easy to remove with the box end of a combination wrench.
Nothing would have to be done to the driveshaft if you are replacing with the same model transmission.
