Hydro boost brakes

I know some of you guys have converted your vacuum power brakes to hydro boost brakes, how did you do it and where did you get the parts? Is there an after market kit that includes the power steering unit and brake booster for our trucks?

I bought the power steering lines, hydra boost unit, and power steering pump at Ford that should have been in a 97 FSuperduty (F450).

The conversion was about 600 dollars, several years ago.

Best thing I ever did about better stopping.

So did the power steering pump from the 97 450 bolt right up or did you have to modify mount brackets?
Do I have to buy a new pump or just new lines?

I used the master cylinder that was stock on my 86.
Everything was a direct bolt on swap.

If you want to go this route you can, which may save a few dollars.
You can get the power steering resorvoir and install it on your pump.
You need two return lines on the power steering pump, one for the steering gear and one for the hydra boost.
That is the only reason for the pump change.

Mine was way up in miles, so I though since my brakes will be depending on it, time for a new one.

Here are the part numbers for the hydra boost and hoses.

$380.35 Hydra boost Ford E8TZ-2005-B
$56.57 Pressure from hydraboost to steering box, passenger side fitting Ford F4TZ-3A714-A
$33.64 Pressure from PS pump to hydraboost, drivers side fitting Ford F4TZ-3A717-A
$20.90 Return line from hydraboost to PS pump, drivers side nipple Ford E8TZ-3A713-B
