Do an advanced search choosing "titles only". I remember a post some time ago that covered this. Personally, I've had good service out of the Autozone brand, Duramax I think.

99% of batteries are made the same, I usually get the one with the highest cca rating that will fit in the space, the expensive ones do not last any longer than the cheap ones. I have had many trucks and hotrods over the years and have bought many, many batteries. I did find that years ago the interstate batteries would not last as long as others but have not bought that brand for a long time. Be careful that you do not overload your alternator though.

I use Deka batteries on my rig for plowing, which includes cold starts at 2:00 in the morning at 32 degrees or lower. No problems here.

I used to go to Sears to buy batteries. The DieHard top of the line came with a killer warranty so I usually could go and get another one for free. This is when I was driving older VW's and an older BMW. They seemed to eat batteries much quicker than these good 'ol American Fords I drive now.

I ran the wally world batteries in my 97 PSD for years without any problems, pretty decent warranties if you ever need them.

I just put in a set from wally world for $75 each. 3yr free replacement. 2 sets of diehards have exploded on me. 2 factory sets have lasted 4-5yrs.

I've got the optima Yellow tops, works real good give my about 12.9v at idle and as high as 14.2V at about 2000 RPM. Expensive, but the warranty speaks for itself. 36 month unlimited and then 48 months after that prorated.
