Yep out driving around this afternoon and went to stop at a red light and noticed the clutch didn't feel right. It was way to spongy or light just like it was back in August when the master cylinder went out. So yes again the slave or the master cylinder is gone I replace both back then first I replaced the slave and that wasn't it so then I replace the master and that fixed it until today. Do you think the new clutch with the higher lbs pressure plate is affecting the hydraulic system. Well any way I will replace the master cylinder first this time. I cant find the link on doing this any one have it stashed any where. Yea its only been 4 months since I replaced it and I remember that darn little clip on the clutch switch was a pita to get off that time.
Also I checked my GPR and GP's this morning and all checked good and old red still smokes like a train when I fire it up and its cold outside I unplugged the ICP and started it later on and all I got was a CEL and still smoking while cold. I may need to borrow a ICP sensor soon just to narrow this down.
Have you noticed any leaks or the fluid level going down in the reservoir? When I replaced my hydraulics, I just bought the pre-bled master / slave assembly from Ford and did it all at once.
You're sure the GPR is giving voltage to the glow plugs? That much white smoke sounds glow plug related. Have you tried cycling the glow plugs a few times or just waiting a full 60 seconds after the key is turned on before you try to start?
Of course it might also be related to the single shots, turbo & tuning it takes for them to run smooth. Does the high idle help the smoke issue any?
Well, then it's time to do a compression test, cylinder contribution test and see what turns up.
Yea Dan I have done this and all checked OK. This started after getting new injectors I think? cant say for sure last year when I had single shots it stared this in the winter I got Jody to tune for the SS injectors and it still smoked. I have hybrids now with he 38r and it still has my old tuning but once it has got cold it smokes on cold start ups. at least it starts like a champ I don't hook it up or any thing.

Chris I have no leaking fluids. Yea I wish I had replaced it all in 1 unit but I didn't and my lifetime warranty is for each part separate.
Yea I checked the GPR this morning per guzzle's instructions and it check good and it is the stancore I put on a couple years ago IIRC it was pumping out 10.6 volts to chassis going and the same to battery ground with the key on. It check the same as the batteries with out the key on so I think the GPR is OK.
Yes the high idle helps the smoke issue?? why ??
You'll need to call or email Jody to confirm, but it seems that singles cause the most problems at idle. Tuning for a smooth idle may mean it's dumping enough fuel to cause the white smoke when really cold.
I guess that is what I will do. Maybe Jody can shed some light on this for me. I am at a lost for why the smoke is rolling.
Thanks,
Mike (Tenn) said he had the smoke but lives with it and a few others said they have smoke to? Maybe thats part of it until I get retuned? I may never get rid of it.

Ok, I didn't know that you had done all the proper diagnostic procedures already.
With that said, I believe the hybrids are the cause of the smoke.
Hybrids have a lower injection pressure, which will reduce the nozzles ability to properly atomize the fuel.
That's my theory anyway.
Thanks guys for your idea's. This is the only place I trust getting info. Well its 24 degrees outside this morning and I am waiting for it to warm up a little so I can get out there and change my hyd master cylinder.
Sorry to hear about this, Eddie. I hope the clutch master cylinder holds up longer this time. I haven't heard of any upgraded hydraulics for those with HD clutch assemblies. Seems like the stock setup is 'supposed' to be up for the job.
