IMO, look at Kripfink's panel truck with the redone scallops. I would do it just like his, except in the black and red like you want, and leave the roof black. But stitch the red into the seat.

Kripfink's looks like a 50s custom paint job, no offense, I'm not as fond of the red/black design, looks like a rattle can job done by a wannabe custom painter. Doesn't flow well or accent the panels like a scallop job was supposed to do. I'd put scallops on the roof as well to tie it all together. The all black cab looks like only the fenders were painted.
