I am currently doing a 302 to 351W swap on my 92 F150. I got the replacement 351and in process of building it up and have come across some setbacks or something.
I refer to this repair manual for anything and I think that the problem that I have is with the Emission Control System. The book talks about a Thermactor thing.
The problem i have is that when i got the engine from a junkyard, the ones who pulled it must have cut it right it half cause its cut and dont really know how it is supposed to look or be positioned properly.
Maybe i could get a few pics of how it should be done and maybe the proper name for what i am talking about.
I am inserting a few pics of what i have and maybe it will help( I circled around the item at hand)
The end of the steel tube sticking out the bottom normally goes to the cat. But if you don't have a cat or emissions to pass remove the whole works of that and plug the holes in the back of the heads with 5/8x1" coarse thread bolts.
