That's kind of a tall order. Double din is basically twice as tall as the single din. It can be done, but it helps if you're good with ABS or fiberglass. You will have to cut the opening bigger and then make a piece to fill the hole and have the opening size you need. I can't think of any pictures I've seen recently that wasn't a custom dash.
Thankyou for the reply. I was looking at a pioneer AVIC F90BT I will put something along that line in my bronco as soon as i figure out how to do it so it looks like it belongs there. I allways told my wife I would rather have a old truck worth 20 grand than a new one worth 40. She says im well on my way. I think I should have told her 30.
I haven't done it, but I would start with getting the radio. With the radio will come a cage that will have the dimensions for the hole you will need. Then I think I would trace it on a 12x12" piece of 3/8-1/2" plywood or particle board or drywall and start looking at placement. This piece would be the beginnings of a template for me, then I would start trimming the outer edges to fit in the space the way I wanted it. Once you have the template, I would consider the material, plywood and particle board is probably a better choice and to keep it stable maybe some bracketry. Then the fun part of cutting the dash up and fiberglassing it in.
I'd bet there are professional tutorials online somewhere, but please post some pics if you do it.
