i have looked in about 100 billion places and i havent really found a sub enclosure for 80-96 f-series trucks.... i have a 88 f150 and i have 2 infinity 6x9s in the doors and soon to replace the 6 1/2's with some better ones... lol i have a 2000 watt 2 channel amp and no subs because i havent found a box or at the least a blueprint for a box so im thinking im going to be spending quite a few hours with some mdf and bondo making a box... i am wanting to go with a 2 12inch set up putting one behind the driver and passenger seats coz the factory bench is soon to come out and be replace with Tenzo-R type-R reclining sport seats from jc whitney...ok back on topic it u have any pics of a sub enclosure in ur truck that u would like to share i would appreciate it
i had a 92 f-150 reg cab and i used a 97-03 sub box for it and it fit fine in my truck and it had a recessed part in between the subs for your amp mine ran a little over 130 bucks. here is the link hope this helps you.
I've got 2 12's in the centre console shown here. I've got drawings for the rear half where the speakers and amp is but I made up the front half on the fly.
ah that looks bad *** what kinda seats r those and and and the only thing i noticed wrong with it is the steering wheel is on the wrong side lol but i guess if u was going for a one of a kind thing thats it lol but honestly i love it looks really awsome
Thanks for the compliments. The seats are from a Mitsubishi Colt that I found at the wreckers a couple of years ago. The car was a write-off in the front end and it only had 1000 k's on the clock so the seats were essentially brand new. I had to make brackets to mount them as they are nowhere near a direct bolt-in. They are extremely comfortable, shame about the rough ride from the suspension though.
Here's what the enclosure has inside. I ended up putting another piece of MDF between the front sub and the amp and of course there's a cover for it. Doesn't leave much room in the centre console for storage so I had to make up some pockets for the doors. I'd upload a pdf of the basic plans but I can't access my online storage from this computer so I'll have to do it later. Also not shown here are the vents for the sound to come out, they're down low on either side in the section that the subs fire into. Like I said, I made a lot of it up on the fly.
what CAD program do u use coz i havent found any good ones that have been worth paying for and that center consol design looks grate mitsubishi seats havent thaught about getting seats from a junkyard prolly cheaper than brand new ones from tenzo-r as far as the brackets go i know that has to be custom but i have 70ft of 2inch angle iron that is about 1/8th or 1/4 inch thick cant remember but its strong enough for seat brackets do u have any pics of the out side of the truck too?
oz stang i idolize your interior, it looks good! im looking to do the same thing with the center console... except my interior is black... and i live in amurica with left hand drive

It's AutoCAD Inventor, and no, I didn't pay for it, I'm not that rich. I use it daily in my job as a draftsman. I've heard that Google Sketch-up is pretty good but I've never had the need to try it.

i got a question.. how the heck did you screw in the subs? right angle drill?
I made it so that the left side unscrews, well, at least it did until I covered it. The subs were screwed to their panels before they were glued/screwed in. I'm really hoping I don't have to pull it apart...
I have done quite a few boxes in odd places. The easiest thing it do it to take some rough measurements and cut some cardboard pieces and fit them together and trim as needed. Once you have a cardboard blue print, its easy to see what you need to edit, if you will have enough cubic feet and have a visual. Then just transfer the measurements to mdf and make the box. Seal everything up real well will silicone and you are good to go.
great looking truck. i have tried googles scetch up but they want you to pay for it to... bull crap i know... so i am "trying" one put out by Alibre design lol 30 free trial so when its up i put in another email and have another 30 days lmao
