Replacing the door is not an easy job, and may not be necessary.
It is pretty common for smal articles to fall down thru the defrost vents and end up in the door path. Persoanlly I found a 3 inch deck screw in mine, but had heard of a wide variety of things stuck in the door.
It will only take a few minutes to remove the glovebox and then the heater core cover. The blend door is then visible in the lower left corner.
Good Luck Frank

Glad it worked out for you. Changing the door is not a fun job.

Might want to look at alternatives. When I got my truck, the heater output all went to the defrost vents. Found out the arm was broken at the diverter flap. This is not the same as the blend door, but similar. I looked at what had to come apart to replace this flap, and it was not an easy fix. I managed to shoot a small self tapping screw into the flap, and attach a cable. Used a cable like the old manual choke, or like throttle cable on a lawnmower. This allowed me to push the door up, for heat to the floor, or pull it down to divert flow to defrost. It ain't factory, or very convient, but it works.
I usually leave it about 1/2way, unless the windshield is getting piled up with snow.
You may be able to do something similar to control your broken blend door.
Think outside the box.
Good Luck
Frank
