First, I would check the fuse, I would then look again at the relay. The thing that has me confused is the Brake lights, but otherwise I would start looking at teh turn signal/hazard lights switch in the coloumn.
How decent are you with electrical prints? I ask this, because what we can do is I send you what I have ( email) in prints and then either tonight ( between 4 and 6, I have school after 6), or tomorrow night (between 4 and I think 7, nieces birthday party after 7), or even saturday, ( I am good here from 7 am till noon, even later if needed, but I have homework I have to try and wrap up ) we can both be looking at the prints, and try a couple different test until we see something.
Pat thanks for the diagrams helped a lot found problem. Wasn't the electronic flasher. The plug on the mutifunction switch was comeing out when i tilted the stering wheel. so i got it fixed.
Thanks Travis
That is one thing FORD could have done a better job on, locating a easier place for the those flashers !!
And a Big Welcome Travis to our forum..
Just got done replacing one (1) of the two (2) flasher relays (the one closest to the firewall) in my 1999 F350; all's well so far. To add some detail to your already helpful pointers; 1) my aftermarket Pioneer in-dash came with "keys" for removing the radio (though not the mounting bracket, which I removed after bending the securing tabs inward), the surrounding plastic got a bit roughed up; 2) to shorten the length of time fishing for the pair of side-by-side relays, mine were sortakinda suspended in mid-air, down and to the left ("elbow deep") of the radio opening, and covered with a black plastic housing (approximatedly 1.5 in. by 2.25 in.; pinch the sides HARD and it will pop off); 3) the new, and LARGER than standard, relay from NAPA does not allow the cover to be replaced afterward (my replacement did in fact say "heavy duty"), which inspires some confidence that it may actually last while powering an extra set of stop/turn/flasher light high up on the headache rack, and towing a trailer; 4) my Haines manual did show a picture of where the relays "should" have been (to the right of steering column), but was not accurate for my individual vehicle. Now I can stop scaring the bejeesus out of people that don't know I'm making a move!
