Stickies?

Hey Dave, what gives? I leave the continent for a whole day and the next thing I know you are putting stickies up?

Seriously, they look great. Being winter up there it should save losts of problems for many of the guys having the glowplug basics front and center.

Didn't want to comment there, because it would have just cluttered things up.

And then you look down the forum and there are two or three glow plug posts.

The last thread had three people, two new style systems and one old style system in the same thread.
Confusing for everyone.

Dave S, do you want more tech articles? I have recently upgraded my truck to delayed-exit headlights (keeps lights on for a minute after shutting truck off), and I have a nice writeup on that, also I have one for installing a manual control of the recirculation (fresh air) door for the HVAC system. Those apply to '87-'96 trucks, likely '80-'86 too, regardless of engine and trans...

You should get in touch with Adrian "IB Adrian".
When Ken was still the owner, FTE was paying for good tech articles to include in the Articles/Specs section.

Don't know if IB is doing the same or not, but that did come up in a conversation between some moderators a while back.
Never did get an answer that I saw.

Way back when, there were tech articles in every forum.
That was while Ken was still the owner.
Membership was growing like gang busters and he was having a hard time keeping up with equipment demands and bandwidth demands.
I remember him ordering a new server, by the time it was delivered it was again already to small to handle the load.
If you think about what the server need to be able to hable, right now the are 2668 users connected to FTE.
So the server is dishing out 2668 page loads and taking new posts every time we reply to a post or move to the next one.

After a while the server load was so great from everyone searching for information that in many cases was duplicated in several forums that the tech articles were removed to lighten the server load.

Many were written well enough, that they became the basic information that was first found in the tech articles section.

You can send me the write up on headlight delay. Can you double the time so I can use it for a turbo timer. 2-3 minutes would be nice.
