It did not have an interior light, but it did have a fresh air vent on the right side of the truck that went through the fender. Any information on 5 star stuff would be great.

Thanks,

I thought that LMC carried them, but checked the catalog and they don't. I know that I've kept some from other trucks that I parted out, but finding them is another battle. I do have two complete front clips with the core supports still attached. It might take me some time, but I might be able to remove the bolts and spings from one of them.

Here's a link that discusses the 5 Star Extra Cabs: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...extra-cab.html

I checked and my spare radiator saddle doesn't have the bolts. I looked it up in the Parts CD, it differs from 52 Merc's description there; says it's over 4" long which seems right to me (see below). Anytime a part has a number like that, you can be sure it isn't available, because the "-S7" suffix means it's a hardware store part, something the dealer wouldn't order but just buy locally.

You can Search for "5 Star" and get all the info on what was included. It doesn't appear like you have one, you have standard hood spears.

They aren't plated, they're plain carbon steel.

You are correct, Ross. I double checked my book, and I mis-read the column. My original catalog matches your CD. I apologize for any confusion.

wow thats dedication when you dont want slitely different bolts that you cant see. How long do you want to spend on your build because if your not going for a total show piece that could be a major setback.
