We are supposed to be trading the fog for freezing rain and snow this afternoon, don't know if that's such a good trade.

We were told we would have a big storm last night, didn't happen at all. Now they say a smaller storm this morning. Still waiting.

We have had several feet, but so much has melted I can see my grass. Plenty on the mountains in the ski areas though.

Don't be in any hurry to get back to Fallon. It is cold freezing fog. We have been in the 30s going on 3 weeks now. There is about 6" of ice on the ground. It snowed again tonight. Temps are suppose to drop into the 20s for highs & single digits at nights. We are 10 to 15 degrees colder than Reno this last several days. Reno has been in the mid 40s with sunshine. Freezing fog is returning this week. This winter reminds me of 05-06 in Winnemucca. It snowed in Dec into Jan with 3 weeks of dense freezing fog temps stayed in the 20-30s for highs until March. It was Mid March before the snow/ice melted. This is almost an exact copy of that winter.
So be prepared for a bad winter here in Fallon.
