I thought Mercedes wanted out of Chrysler
That Mercede was mad at Chrysler
you are correct, hence the changeover. the van is ultimately mercedes, but us freightliner people are no longer chrysler since the daimler chrysler split, so our vans will be sold under a mercedes franchise. i am no longer allowed to perform warranty work on didge sprinters, even though they are all exactly the same other than the badge.

its actually not a benz at all. the freightliner, western star, and american lafrance trucks are all under the "daimler trucks north america" parent company. mercedes on highway diesel division is now dissolved into detroit, wich the majority of the shares are owned by GM, and detroit and cummins are the only available engines in any new daimler truck.
the extreme german influence on the design and engineering side of things for freightliner has started them on a downward spiral. they are the on highway "bic razor" of trucks. buy it dirt cheap, run it to 500,000miles and throw it away. one major problem is that you cant stay away from our shop
after all my snide planning, and all of the office a-holes dressing up in suites and shiney shoes, the germans didnt show today. gave me more time to add another sign to my tool box......
"ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it weren't for german crap, my tools would rust."
whats everybody up to now? i have serious hanuka internet shopping tonight for the in law family, because it starts very soon. then i can procrastinate for a few weeks before i worry about christmas shopping for my family.
hey does anybody know of an adhesive that conducts electricity? i need to glue a spade connector back onto the rear defrosted window of my wifes car. i dont want to solder it and risk blowing the window apart from the heat.
