Have a 05 5.4 w/73K F350 with a build date of 08/04 (also has plow prep/not sure if snap ring was done) that has a delay only going into reverse. Its the same consistent delay only for reverse. Once engaged it seems to work exactly as it should and with no delay going into drive again. Took it to buddy who's a ford tech and he scanned it but no codes related to trans. Any ideas?
A normal reverse engagement for a TorqShift is 2 seconds. I think that's too long, and so do many other people, but that's how long it takes. I tried to make it shorter, but my boss didn't like it and I had to put it back the way I found it.
Yeah, I would say it is about 2-3 seconds from drive to reverse. I just picked up the truck and want to plow with it but that delay is killing me. I know in the past I've used Transgo shift kits, can they help with this?
