Changing oil

Why are you supposed to change the oil on a warm engine?

It gets more oil out of the pan, since the oil is thinner and runs alot better when its warm.

In theory any junk in the engine is suspended in the oil and has a better chance of flowing out when drained. On the other hand some say that letting the oil settle and cool down gives the junk the best chance of being removed. The first theory is what I go by. On top of what Matt said.
