Engine starts ok when cold but soon as it gets warm 10-15 mins it will not start again it just cranks over rearly fast. If i let it cool down it starts again first go. Any ideas. I've changed the oil and filter, Also the fuel filter but this has made no change.
Could be IPR "O" rings. when the truck cools down the oil viscosity is greater allowing less oil to bypass. There is a write up regarding making a socket to remove the unit. It may also be the injector O rings. How did the fuel filter look when you changed it? If it was black and oily this would point to injector O rings.I believe the oil pressure needs to be somewhere around 500? psi to fire the injectors. I read this somewhere but I understand the memory is the second thing to go. Someone else will chime in i'm sure.
