Mine is doing exactly the same. Took off the belt (which is new) and spun each pulley. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, dealer cant "replicate the problem." It is a definate whistle, not a squeal like a belt or pulley and it only does it at 70mph, fully warmed up and going down the highway. It only does it when the temp is below freezing. Never above freezing. Ive read other posts and they all seem to reccomend changing out the alternator but I hate to waste 150 bucks on an alternator and have it still happen. I spun the pulley on my alt and it feels like brand new. Guess ill have to wait till spring when it fixes its self!
Im going to wait too. got the same issue. I think its temp related with the alternator but I dont think its an issue thats going to effect charging. Too cold to work on anything out here anyways right now.

I doubt your noise is coming from the alternator since it is only below freezing your engine is still in a warm engine bay both ways so you should be looking for a bad door weather striping
I dont think its door weatherstriping because while the noise is happening i'll give it a lil gas and the sound fades away sharply, the same speed that i step on the pedal....EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee then silence. Definately comming from under the hood. If im using the cruise control set at 70mph, i tap the acc button once to go to 71 mph and it stops also. Same thing happens if I slow to 69 mph. Wierd Wierd Wierd............................
man good advice from a ford tech NOT mine does the same dam thing and its freaking anoying as hell, 70 whistle 71 no whistle, freaking weird i heard it coming from the windshield but i guess it cant be that now since everyone is saying an alternator
does the truck make the noise if you turn on the wipers? I have seen the wiper blades make a whistle, but if the noise is dependent on being at 70 mph and not at engine rpm then it's not the alt
yeah its not the wipers tried that, tried shutting the heat/fan off, tried opening my door highly not recomended and it did it still so i dont know man
