Well, I would have liked to have one of those overhead displays but if the dumb meter isn't even close I guess the only thing I'd use it for is the thermostat. Maybe I'll get a digital gauge one of these days that shows the outside temp.
I got a Gentex auto dimming rear view mirror that has a compass and temp display off ebay. It was around $100 and came with the wiring and sensor.
with another vehicle I had an engine that vibrated and shook so much it looked like it was gonna hop out of the car and run away at jackrabbit speed. I kept asking pros with long experience with the brand if the motor mounts might be bad and they would always say, nope, they all run like that that. Since I was doing all the top-end work myself making the fuel injection system, etc. just as happy as can be, that was frustrating. When I finally changed the motor mounts it sat there purring like a kitten. Anything with rubber/vinyl/plastic composites or whatever they make motor mounts out of ain't gonna last forever, but of course a 7.3L engine will, so....
Humm, you have a good point there. Question is how do you check your motor mounts?

Really? Never thought of that but I like it! I'll have to look around. Is there any time of mirror that I'm looking for that will fit my truck?
