Who was the member who had a gun pulled on him at a grocery store and ran the guy over with his refrigerator-era truck? He lived north of LA as I recall, worked on boats? Haven't seen him on here in a long, long time.

Are you talking about the guy that worked on large outboards at a marina?
I remember some one who worked on marine engines finding a burgler crushed under an engine when he went to his shop on a morning when he went to open up.

I checked on the link directing to his posts. It appears he's been hanging out with the 67-72 guys, on their forum. Glad to see he's still around, though. That's an interesting story. One that could have gone a couple different ways.
I guess I missed this story when it was first posted but after reading it I have to ask, has anyone done any fact-checking on this story? The bravado and seeming lack of concern for human life seems a bit too much for me to buy so I attempted to find some report in the newspaper or Sheriff's reports...nada. Here's a link to the Shasta County Sheriff's press releases Sheriff's Web Home Page , Lakehead is a small town near Lake Shasta...a story like this would seem to me to be headline news. Did a search on his name and found nothing other than the usual white pages listing. I think that it may be time to raise the BS flag.
