I bought a cherry bomb vortex Part # 88105 but it is olny 3 inch in and out will this hurt my truck
i have no cat or muff and passe e test and dose not smoke but it dose make a lot of noise though
The exaust i have now is 3 or 3.5 inch to abought were the pasnger seat would be and switch up to 4 inch flex pipe and makes a bend up to the chrome stack along the pass side of cab and up 7 feet
The main reason for doing this is we have noise laws here in Ontario and I don't want a run in with MTO. I just want to bring the rumble down a bit. "i think it ecos in the pipe lots "
i would like to install wear it go up to 4inch flex pip "pics are coming"
Any thoughts from anybody?
i also have the a 3 in to 4 in addaptor so it gose back to 4 in after the muffler

Reason: more info
The factory exhaust is a 3.0" down pipe to a 3.5" for the rest. So by the sounds of your thread you need a 3" inlet and a 4" outlet On your muffler or cherry bomb, you could also get an adapter for 3"-4" to go from you cherry bomb to your flex pipe. Hopfully i have that rite.
Is there good gages that i can get throught NAPA ?
i know that i need one for EGT's but what elase do i need ? from what piller gage hoders that i have seen hold 2 or more ?
can't order on line
need to get localy
I also have a piston ring here in town
Don't know about gauges at Napa. What about jc whitney? Also don't know if I would want to reduce the size of stock exhaust, could create back pressure and higher egt,s
I agree I don't think that I would go any smaller.
I don't know how to put a link up but if you want guages talk to Clay at RiffRaff performance. He has good prices and has good customer service and a vendor on hear.

Geezus guys give the guy a break. Maybe he doesn't have a credit card, which would mean he can't order stuff online.
ampslw you'll get better responses if you try to stick to a single question in each thread..and title threads with the information you are looking for. Also Clay at Riffraff is a wealth of information on a lot of things http://www.riffraffdiesel.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?
Sorry for all the questions in one thread, I got a little excited because I finally found a place where I could get REAL anwers from other owners and not from someone who doesn't know hands-on about the 7.3 engine. When I first got the truck so many people warned me about the 7.3 motor, it made me kind of nervous and after reading MANY hours of different threads I now have a greater knowledge about my 7.3
