Sorry for all the questions in one thread, I got a little excited because I finally found a place where I could get REAL anwers from other owners and not from someone who doesn't know hands-on about the 7.3 engine. When I first got the truck so many people warned me about the 7.3 motor, it made me kind of nervous and after reading MANY hours of different threads I now have a greater knowledge about my 7.3
Just wanted to say thanks.
Don't worry about all the questions. You will never know if you don't ask. The folks here will help in any way they can. I live in Ontario too, ( Kitchener), and maybe I can help when it comes time for parts and such. I have run into a few walls when looking for upgrades and mods but I have learned a few shortcuts and sources along the way.
Everyone here has been a real help and I am once again doing work on my truck that I haven't done in years and enjoying the hell out of it. Saving money too. If you need any help, send me a PM and I will see what I can do.

As Patrick said no apologies necessary. This place is usually a real friendly place to visit.
The people here more know about these trucks than any "mechanic". Not sure why people warned you about the 7.3...its one of the most reliable motors ever built.
Keep on asking questions. The answers will come. Be specific in your questions and explainations of what is going on and you will recieve all the help you need. This sight is truly a wealth of knowlege.
Hey, welcome to the forum.
This is the muffler that you want to run with your stock 3.5 inch exhaust. (sorry I cannot convert to metric right now.)
That little 3 inch muffler will have an even smaller diameter inside than the flanges and a diesel engine really needs to breath or the exhaust gas temperatures go up and so does the black smoke because of not enough air.
