rear deck door holes???????

Does anyone know what all the hole in the bottom of the rear lift door are for? I was wondering if any early model X's had rubber seals attached using these holes. Kind of like the holes in the front lip of the engine hood.

There should be a bumper plug in the two outer ones. The others are condensation weep holes.

And if yours is like mine - they disappear regularly !!!

This is a VERY bad drawing of what they look like:

Horrible, I know - but the "pointy end" goes into the hole and is pushed up to the narrow part to (hopefully) lock it in...

would guess it's purpose is to dampen the shimmy of the rear doors and lift gate....
