Rear crewcab door questions

Crewcab doors for a 69. Does anyone know what the 2 holes above the door handle are for? The doors already have a pull handle and it doesn't look like an armrest fits there. Also, will the window regulator from a front door work on a back door?

and...are all crewcab shortboxes 6 1/2' long compared to the 6' on a non crewcab?

Rear crewcab door questions

On the crewcabs I've seen (all 2 of them) the pull handle on the back doors wraps all the way around the release handle. There is no arm rest at all. I need a pair of them for mine or I will have to make something else work. I believe all shortboxes are 6 1/2 feet long regardless of cab style up until some of the brand new crewcabs they have out now with shorter boxes.

Their called door handle shrouds originally made for the econolines out of plastic. If you want a pic of one mail me. I have some pics of the beat up ones that were on my 70 crew

Rear crewcab door questions

Thanks 460 Crew I would like to see a pic of one. And freejay are you saying that all shortboxes are 6 1/2' long? All of the literature I've every seen says 6' (like the Dennis Carpenter catalogue) so I assumed the length was 6.

Yeah I've always thought all shortboxes were 6'6" inside dimension. I could be wrong though, I have been once before...

Rear crewcab door questions

My favorite junkyard has a crecab with all the doors intact although I am not sure about any plastic shrouded door pulls. The old guy is real cheap on everything.

Rear crewcab door questions

Hi
where are those doors located???
Is it a 4x4 crew??I need a rear driveshaft for my 69 crew 4x4

Also those inside door shrouds or covers everyone is talking about, what year econolines were they made for??

I've noticed other parts on my crew that were "borrowed' from
the econoline too

But never saw those shrouds..I do have one intact though

Rear crewcab door questions

The crew in the junkyard is in east Texas, sorry just a 2wd. I pirated the factory a/c out of it but it is pretty much a mess. He lets everyone take off their own parts and a lot of guys just torch away whaterver they don't need to get at things which someone did to the floor and cowl. But the backhalf of the cab and the doors are still pretty good. I have been thinking about getting it to make an extended cab out of my 68. Well let me know if I can help. I don't get out there much in the summer because the cars are all full of red wasps.

Rear crewcab door questions

While you guys are talking about Crewcab . Does anyone know were I can order new floor mats or head liner for the crewcab. None or the Ford catalogs list the crewcab in their catalog that I have been able to find.

Rear crewcab door questions

Sgoff, I couldn't find a floormat but found a crewcab carpet kit from Auto Custom Carpets Inc. Give me a mail for a Phone #. And for a headliner I used old ones for templates and made new ones from an upholstery shop in town. with some grey headliner material contact cemented to a cardboard from them a little thicker than the original board. Mail me for pics of either.
