Look up Enron on ebay. thats what i have. i got the GPS-less model. but i herd the one with GPS is really good. if u really want to spend alot of money go to kenwood or pioneer. i would do an ebay search. that is that best place to find good deals.
i aot the eonon also and i think its a pile. ive had it like 3 months and the screen cutts on and of and when it flips down to put cd's in it sometimes i locks up. thats why im gonna spend the money on the pioneer 2x the price but 5x better.
Go to your local CarToys and see if they have an open box unit in there on clearance or even a pull out that a customer had and didnt like for one reason or another. Cant sell it new if it was installed. So the price would be a lil cheaper if you go that route.
I'm in the market for a nav/radio as well. I wanted a solid gps with excellent ipod controls and the ability to expand in the future, specifically bluetooth.
After looking at all the options I've chosen to use Kenwood primarily because they have partnered with Garmin. I've used Garmin for the past 3 years and never regretted it, ever.
The only dilemma is whether to get the KVT (fold out and up) or the DNX (static screen). The KVT would place the screen a few inches further up, closer to where the current GPS sits. Otherwise, the programing is exactly the same.
A nav/radio is going to cost good money. There's no way around it. My only advice is not to skimp on the price. I've read hundreds of reviews on a number of different brands and designs and in the end, every bit of advice was "spend right the first time".
Good luck on your search! Definitely let us know what you chose and how it performs.
