oil ?

What do you all run in your diesels is it motorcraft or rotella which do you think does a better job

Switched from amsoil to rotella 5w-40 synthetic a couple weeks ago becuase of price and what has been said on this forum.

I run the rotella 15-40 dino oil. i think most here run synthetic they are both great oils

well i have had my truck since july and have been using 15w40 Rotella but need to switch for winter soon, not sure what i going to use now

Sorry for my little knowledge but i have olny had my 7.3 for a few months now but i learning fast.

Dose anybody put oil treatments in the oil ?

No treatments -- just put the syn 5w-40 in an enjoy much easier starts in the winter...

Just sent my latest 5K sample off to Blackstone, see what comes back.

There are many good non-synthetic 15w40 oils that are great ( Motorcraft/ Shell Rotella/ Chrevron Delo/ Mobil Delvac/ Valvoline Blue) to name a few. I have used the MC/Shell Rotella with no complaints but switched over to Chevron Delo 15w40 a few years ago. I have always used the MC oil filter (FL1995) which is a bout $10 a WM.

If you want to use a synthetic diesel oil, many use the Rotella 5w40 and are happy with it. It is $19 per gallon at WM.
