Well I am getting almost finished up. I am putting a 2 inch block on top fo the factor 2 inch block. So now I want to know how I could go about jacking up the front end, with spaces, and new shocks? Thats the way I want to go. I am paying for some more schooling now, and I want to go a safe cheap route. Would really like to know what I can do on the cheap to get the front level or close to level with the back. Just doing this so when I got the money I can run some 35's. Thats all I want. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Stacking blocks is not a safe way to achieve a lift, and there is no easy or cheap way to lift a TTB front end more than an inch or so and maintain proper suspension and steering geometry.
better to check out ebay for a lift kit, you get everything you need. but agree the front is costly because if you get it up youll have to pay for a $120.00 alignment, at least i did by installing leveling springs in the front, didnt really level it. i think you can buy a complete 4" lift on ebay for around $400.00 with shocks.
i have a 93 f150 with 8 inches of lift i have 42's on it i have full cut. but you could go with a 3 inch body lift you can buy a kit for about 110.oo$ from jeffs bronco graveyard with a 3 inch body and a 2 inch spacer on your coil spring you wont have to change anything with your camber or anything, you can do your own alignent at home if you just measure from the outside of your tires like left front outer to the right front outer then you measure the backs thats how i align my truck. with these lift the 5 inches 3 inch body 2 inch suspension you will be able fit 35s no problem. you could even use hockey pucks even cheaper just buy bolts put 3 hockey pucks on top of each other
Under NO circumstances. I repeat NO circumstances, use hockey pucks for a body lift. I know far too many jeep guys that have tried this to save money, and they split, every time, and have caused some serious damage, and some injuries when the body slid right off the chassis. And your F-150 is heavier than a Jeep, in just about every major assembly.
And guy that suggested this, maybe its worked fine so far for you, but please don't suggest anybody else do this, ever again.
If you want to build blocks for a body lift, buy some aluminium round stock, and some long drill bits, and make them yourself out of material that is strong enough.
I am in no circumstance lifting the body... specialy with hockey sticks. Why is it so bad to stack blocks? I know other guys to do it. Never heard anything bad about it, other than its against the law in a lot of laws down south.
