lift questions

A few years ago I added some leafs to the back and now my stock front springs are tired out. The front is almost 2 inches lower than the back. I want to order a 2 inch lift for the front but I am worried that new springs in the front will actually raise it 3-4 inches because of the worn out springs. Does anyone know what the factory height was or any ideas or do I have to play the leveling game? I would love to lift it higher but right now it is my daily driver. So don't laugh at my 2 inches.

Also my truck has wedges under the springs at the back to correct for pinion angle but if if have to put a 1 or 1-2 inch block to level can I remove the wedge if the angle is not to extreme? Right now I think it points up to high anyway. Is that factory? Any ideas?

I don't have enough cash available to buy matching rear springs right now or I would.

As far as the wedge is concerned, dont removeit or find lift blocks that are wedged. Its there to correctthe pinion angle and came from Ford like that. it looks like its too high because broncos have such short wheelbases and consequently, a very short rear drive shaft. I assure you that if you remove it you will have a bad vibration come from the drive line and will be worse with a lift.

lift questions

i am under the assumption that you added the leafs due to worn out rear springs......in that case, you would want stock replacements for the front....and if you are looking to lift the whole thing, it'd be best to wait until you have the cash to get those rear springs if your stock ones are worn out....and i'd go at least 4"...it wouldn't be as bad as you think...i just don't think 2" will do much of anything for you....heck...my daily driver is a 78 bronco and it is lifted 6" with a 3" body lift and 39" tires....with a 4" lift and eventually 35s, i think you would be very pleased....
