Fuel Bowl Delete

I would like to do my own fuel bowl delete, and I would like to know, what are all the items I will need? Would putting bigger fuel lines on help? How about if I take the lift pump off and put a FASS or AIRDOG system on, where can I buy a plate? It seems like someone had a link for a website, for a place that has a fuel bowl delete kit, dirt cheap, but I can't find it, so if it can't be found I will do it myself, got two lathes, and a mill machine at my finger tips. So help me if you can =)

its not hard to delete your bowl. i wouldn't go with the FASS or Airdog II setup. those pumps seem to be a pain in the butt for our fuel systems. i would look into doing just an SD pump, dual SD pumps, OR an aeromotive pump from dieselsite. you don't need a pump that is regulated at the pump and has its own return. you want a pump that is just a pump and you regulate it at the engine on the return line. here is what you will have to do. get your pump and fit it with a pre filter and a post filter of your choice. my CPR uses a dahl 2 micron pre filter and a aeromotive 150 micron cleanable post filter. from there run your lines to the stock steel line that runs to the engine. now from the steel supply line on the engine you gotta run a line to the rear of the driver side head. then run one of your stock front FPR lines from the front of the driver side head to the front of the passenger side head(i believe its the driver side front FPR line you use. whichever one is longer). now run a line from the back of the passenger side head to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator like an aeromotive. from the FPR now run a line to the factory return line and waa laa. romove your fuel bowl, put a plug in your factory fuel pump hole(i think some may use a freeze plug?) and cut out certain pieces of the fuel bowl harness and put it back in there. i will look at mine later to see what all you gotta cut out of the fuel bowl harness, but you only need the big plug on the passenger side of the bowl and the IPR plug IIRC.. hope that helps a little. haha

Just pipe thread. Convert to -an fittings and you are good to go. makes it easier and cleaner.

5/8 " freeze plug will plug the hole too.

Do I need the pre filter and the post filter? Could I use just one of them? Thank you Strokintasch, that helped alot.

I like overkill and efficiency so I say yes, both. A filter pre-pump that filters down to 10 microns or so (like a Baldwin BF1212) to catch the big stuff before it gets to the pump. Then a 2 micron between the electric pump and the motor. That way you're covered just in case your pump takes a crap and sends stuff up the lines. Most will say it's not a big deal, but I don't want to take any chances of my injectors trying to pass anything except fuel.
