WAY more than 2 gallons. I sucked 6-7 out of my tank when I did the in-tank mods, and it was sitting right on E (and I have a "29" gallon tank). I drove as far as I felt comfortable with before dropping the tank. When I did the math after filling up, I put in something like 34-35 gallons. I've driven 60+ miles on the highway after the light comes on -- lots of pucker-factor going on, but I made it to the station and put in 31.5 gallons.
Before I did the I-T mods I could get 22 gallons fuel in my tank to the first click off. so i figured I had 7 gallons left. Once I stretched it and drove 56 miles after it lit, intown, over about 4-5 days, just kept forgetting . Then I did the I-T mods and dont have a clue what to think. It now takes almost 100 miles on the OD before the guage starts moving. So I fill up when at 1/4 tank.
