If you want to eliminate the code, after removing and plugging the AIH, make a pigtail or crossover with a 470ohm, 1w resistor and attach it between the two wires, (power and ground), that you just took off of the AIH. This will fool the system and eliminate the code.
I have done this mod and I got the info from doing a search for " AIH delete " in the forum search from the drop down menu above.
I used a heat shrink on the whole thing after installation.
And as Kwik says, you will always have a spare relay under the hood when needed. Good luck.
