i was jus fooling arroud and checked my dtc. i got an edge evo so i can pull them up on the fly and i got 3..... #is p0603 from switching tunes.. #2 is p0470 the ebps is full of soot or something but #3 is the one im wondering about.....P0478 Exhaust Pressure Control Valve High! is never got this before... whats the cause and is it ok or what
P0603: Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error
P0470: Exhaust Pressure Sensor - This is not caused by chipping, this is your exhaust back pressure sensor is not reading correctly code. Clean the tube, check it for pin holes, clean the sensor and if this error still comes up replace the sensor.
P0478: Exhaust Pressure Control Valve High - I'm not sure what this is.
DTC P0478 indicates an excessive back pressure condition existed during normal driving.
Possible causes:
stuck EBP butterfly valve
restricted exhaust
plugged EBP sensor line
misadjusted EPR linkage
F-Series wastegate turbo may be overboosting

roland.....
#1 what would cause the valve to stick????
#2 epr linkage ??? is that the rod on the waste gate? if not where and how do i adj it correctly.
#3 my line could be clogged
#4 and overboosting how whats the cause
and i checked the codes again today and got another one
P1211 Injector Control Pressure Sensor Above / Below Desired
#1 Carbon build up in the EBPV housing and on the flap itself
#2 This is the linkage for the EBP Valve, not the wastegate
#3 Yes, carbon build up in the EBP Sensor tube and sensor itself
#4 Your tuner and aftermarket wastegate actuator can raise the boost levels beyond the stock parameters; Install a boost fooler, i.e. Over Boost Annihilator (OBA)
Code 1211 is common with a tuner. HPOP is unable to keep up with high pressure oil needed for the injectors under high demand

sounds good i do need to clean my tube and sensor. my flap on the ebpv ummmm sounds like alot involved to do. now the linkage on the ebpv can that become loose or to tight ive never touched it. how do i check for correct adjustment and go about adjusting it? and i have a blow off valve set for 30psi i think in the line to the map. it is getting colder in fl now so the ebpv is working alot more now but it all sounds normal. runs for bout 3 to 5 min in the am then shuts off. just making shure i dont hava any major issues. and the p1211 is prolly from a heavy foot i had earlier when a silly rice rocket thought " ohhh mr big truck thinks hes got something" haha wish i coulda seen the look on his face through all the smoke haha. thanks for the help
