Any advantage to 94-95 ford F150 brakes?

I have a 93 with some well worn knuckles that have deep groves were the pads ride and was wondering if there is any advantange to the later 94-95 knuckles with the sliding pin/bolt set up? Better stopping ?? This old set up doesnt seem like the best design the sliders get crudded up pretty bad.

The sliding calipers are a better overall design, but as long as you take care of the rubber pins, lubricate and inspect them regularly, and replace them when they're worn, it's a good system. They work just as well when they are dirty, too. They just need a little more maintenance. Your brakes will be exactly the same with either setup.
