I do believe it will fit. However, I'm pretty sure the 99 computer would be ~very~ . . . angry, with you.
I am thinking you would need either the elctronic guts too - or just the "internal" engine parts from that earlier donor.
But there are folks who know a lot more then me about this swap. They will be here in just a minute to confirm, correct, or comment.

thanks a lot guys i really appreciate the help, im gonna go pick up that engine this weekend and get it dropped into the truck..thanks again guys
