turbo upgrade
ok i havea 84 6.9 diesel with a ats upgrade put on before i bought this truck 
i love my turbo, its awsome on the highway and pritty niffty for towing uphills.... but i would like to upgrade it and get some more boost outa it, i like getting on the highway and some ram trying to cut me off, i have to boost to get away from him but i dont really pull away, so how can i get the waste gage to get more boost though the system.
i know on like car motors u can get new spring for the waste gage and that can pump the more boost, but i know with a diesel it all comes down to can ur fuel pump and other lil fuel managment handel all the extra fuel trying to go thru it. so can stock system handel more the 9psi (i have 9psi right now when punched)??? i would like to get like 15ish at the most, wut is the best way?

More than likely the pump was turned up when the turbo was installed but may not have been. What do you have for exhaust and intake inlets, stock leaves a lot to be desired.
Also keep in mind without head studs on the 6.9's getting above 10 # is putting your head gaskets at risk.

The first thing to do would be install a pyrometer and boost gauge.
That way you know how much boost you are running now and how the fuel is set.
Yes you will have a couple hundred in gauges, but it can save head gaskets and pistons which cost more.
Then there would be no guessing, which can be expensive with a diesel engine.
