Air Restriction Indicator
How much faith do you guys put in the indicator for the air filter? My 6.0L PSD has 53k on it and the indicator hasn't moved. You can't tell me that in 53k there is no restriction in the filter. My fuel mileage is down a bit, and I'm wondering if a filter change is in order?

The stock filter will hold alot of dirt.. If the gauge hasn't moved, you should be fine.. The filter minder is a pretty reliable device.. You can spend the money and put in a new filter if it makes you feel better.. That's what I do..

Don't know how accurate it is, but does indicate restriction. Mine would move up to 25% within a thousand miles after cleaning my AFE, prompting me to switch to the 6637. hasn't moved since...

Mine just moved after about 15k on the filter. I always changed before it even indicated but this time I wanted to find out. It is just up to 25% restriction, so I will change it when I get a chance. I would not put enough faith in it to the point where I'd run it to 75% but it is good enough for me to change it once it shows restriction. I believe in changing things when they need it and not earlier. (I. e. I run engine oil analysis every 2 years to see and continue to veryfy how much mileage I can put on my oil).
